Siberie is by far the coolest coffee shop in Amsterdam and was founded on one of Amsterdam's most beautiful canals in 1984.

Compared to the year 2008, in the early 80's there were very few coffeeshops in Amsterdam. But since then, though the owners' long experience in the coffeeshop world and the ever-present personable and helpful staff within the coffeeshop, Siberie has grown and flourished.. From its genesis, the coffeeshop has catered both to local people and to overseas tourists, providing an interesting, welcoming and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Furthermore Siberie has always had related events supplying entertainment and service for it's public.
For more than 15 years Siberie has mounted regularly changing art exhibitions by both established and upcoming artists, Dutch and international, attracting and surprising the clients with an ever-changing visual experience. Other projects that have taken place over the years include: Siberie Football team, poetry readings, acoustic concerts, workshops, astrology readings and regular dj performances.
